The objects I collect are sometimes old, often broken, and ready for the dump. I disassemble, decouple and unfurl them. Clean, rehab and repair them. Prime, paint and draw over them. They tell a new story.

The process can begin with finding a great object on trash day or in a flea market. Other times a sketch initiates the hunt for a particular apparatus.

Character studies emerge from the work surface and are informed by the imperfections of the facade. Some figures are based on life drawing sessions, some are fashions of my own fantasies. They live in a world of altered perspective, strange reality and odd situations.
